During the process of taking this photograph I learned how challenging it is to take an action shot. It required a lot of tries and patience to get one good shot. I tried my best to capture a vibrant photo in the playground at the back of the school.
The photo on the right is symmetric and the left is asymmetric. These photos were taken in accordance to the "rule of third" concept. It took a lot of effort and patience to place the object in a place where the photos would have a different mood from one another.
The theme for my "Summer of Six" is New York. I stayed in New York for a month at NYU in July and then came back in the beginning of September for a week with my family. I had the most amazing summer full of unforgettable experiences both with students that share the same passion and with my family. At NYU I was in a film program where we had the opportunity to learn how to film a scene, voice/screen/ theatre acting and interview celebrities to ask about life in Hollywood. Below are the photos that I took during my time in NewYork. It was a summer filled with artistic experience. These snapshots taken around the school all portray a sense of randomness with little care about the lighting and angle of the photograph. This assignment was unusually hard as we has to actually try to create bad photos. I tried to invision what a typical snapshot looks like and tried to recreate these everyday photos that we see on Instagram, Facebook, and so on. |
